About Our Charity: Developmental Services Center

During our 1st Annual Ogden Masonic Charity Trail Run, the members of Ogden Lodge wanted to pick a charity that was known throughout the Central Illinois area as providing an invaluable resource to the community.  The Lodge voted unanimously that DSC would be our charity that first year, because of the important work they do, and the fact that they would most benefit from our charity trail run.  It was our great priviledge that first year of the Trail Run to raise $3,000 to help support the great work DSC does in our community, and they were a fantastic partner to have that first year when we were still new at planning such a large charitable event.

And here we are in our 4th year, and the lodge has decided to partner with DSC a second time!  We're very pleased to have the proceeds of the 4th Annual Masonic Charity go to such a great organization that does such valuable work in our community.

The Developmental Services Center's mission is to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing services and supports which enable them to live, work, learn and participate in their communities.

DSC serves approximately 1,100 children and adults with developmental disabilities, such as epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism, cognitive disabilities, Down syndrome, or other conditions. Individuals seeking services may experience functional or environmental challenges that require extra support to live more independently. These challenges may include assistance in adequate daily living skills, adequate work skills, recognized social behaviors, or the ability to access community transportation."
